In May 1642 John Lindley, purchased Closes called Wharton Close and East Close, divided by estimation of 8 acres of meadow and pasture from Nicholas Lindley and James Levston.
On March 21st 1652 Guy Lindley purchased the Manor with barns, stable and orchards at West Gate in Otley and 2 Closes adjoing Westgate Closes estimation of 4 acres. Guy Lindley also purchased 4 Closes called Blackwoods containing 50 acres in the township of North Duffield.
